News : Call Center Brings 80 Jobs to Jackson
July 18, 2014 -- Healthcare and transportation management company MTM, Inc. will locate non-emergency medical transport and call center operations in Jackson.
The project is expected to create 80 jobs, according to a press release from Gov. Phil Bryant's office.
St. Louis-based MTM already operates a call center and offers transport services in Jackson. The company operates in 28 states, including Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Arkansas in the Southeast.
"As MTM expands our operations to Mississippi, we are committed to creating an ongoing investment into the state's people and economy," MTM President and CEO Alaina Maciá said in a press release.
The Mississippi Development Authority provided funds that will pay for upgrades to the building on I-55 in North Jackson, spokesman Jeff Rent said.
MTM manages transportation, care -coordination activities, call center operations, ambulance claims adjudication, functional assessments and travel training for state and county governments, Medicaid and Medicare-managed organizations, transit agencies, third-party administrators and healthcare providers.
