News : Call Center in McGregor Needs 200 More Workers
Waco, TX, USA, Nov 2, 2016 -- A call center in McGregor that announced earlier this year it was hiring 500 new people to meet increased demand from a client will hire at least another 200 more.
"This is a busy time of year, and one of the great business clients we work with needs additional support," C3 site director Suzette Mansfield said.
The Florida-based company has put about 500 new staffers to work and soon will begin training classes for 206 more, Mansfield said. New hires who work the phones start at $10 an hour but can make more through the company’s incentive program, she said. The Waco center also needs a handful of additional supervisors.
Mansfield said C3 employees field calls from clients of health insurance companies who need questions answered.
"We are trying to organize several classes for new hires in November and another couple in December," Mansfield said. "We need to be done hiring by the third week of November."
The company values employees with computer skills and customer service skills, she said.
"We want people who can provide an exceptional experience for those who call, similar to what you might get in a department store or restaurant," she said.
C3 is filling full-time, 40-hour weekly positions for shifts that stretch from 6:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Incentives typically involve additional pay, but C3 on Monday presented a new Nissan Versa to an employee who qualified for a drawing by meeting performance goals.
Mansfield said C3 finds most of the employees it needs from the Greater Waco and Temple areas and communities in between.
She said with the hiring of about 200 additional staffers, employment at the customer center will hover between 1,000 and 1,200.
C3 operates a call center in McGregor’s industrial district.
