News : Lay Off of 160 Employees as San Antonio Call Centre Closes
San Antonio, TX, USA, Aug 29, 2016 -- A telecommunications equipment manufacturer, ARRIS Group Inc., is shutting down its call center in San Antonio and laying off 160 employees, the company reported to the Texas Workforce Commission recently.
The telephone customer service center, along Bulverde Road, is expected to shut down permanently by the end of October.
Atlanta area-based ARRIS Group (Nasdaq: ARRS) announced in February that it planned to cut about 10 percent of its workforce, or roughly 800 jobs across the company.
