News : Call Center Moves Forward
Harlan, KY, USA, September, 2015 -- During a recent meeting of the Tri-Cities Heritage Development board, Betsy Shirley gave a detailed report on the New Direction Resources business she hopes to open in Cumberland soon.
Shirley told members of the board she has sold her home in Louisville and moved to Lynch. She said she will close on her home next week. She added she is working with a bank, the Kentucky Economic Cabinet, the Promise Zone and others for advice and input.

"I hope to have the building in Cumberland secured within a few weeks," Shirley said.
Starting up the facility with 25 employees, Shirley said when the Lynch Clinic building is renovated by the Harlan County Industrial Development Board, who holds the deed to the property from the city of Lynch, she plans to move to Lynch.
