News : Call Center Opening for Storm Aid
North Little Rock, Ark., May 5, 2014 -- The state is to open a call center for people affected by severe storms that struck Hempstead and Ouachita counties in early April.
Homeowners and renters whose primary residences were destroyed or made uninhabitable are eligible for state assistance if the losses were uninsured. The Department of Emergency Management said Friday that businesses and secondary homes are not eligible for aid.
Assistance is available for home repairs, replacement of personal property, cleaning, automobile repair or replacement, along with other categories.
