News : Call Center Seeks More Employees
Wichita Falls, TX, USA, Dec 29, 2016 -- Two months ago the USA800 call center was just an empty building, vacant since another call center which also receive incentives closed. Now it's a place 400 people call work.
Like Marisha Gopal.
"We actually moved everything from Round Rock, Texas to come here to work for this company," Gopal said.
Gopal said she started out as an advocate, which is an entry level position and just 8 weeks later she's now the supervisor of a team on 18.

She said before working at the call center, she worked at a restaurant a job she didn't enjoy, a situation she said many at the call center faced.
"500 people that were possibly unemployment or working in jobs they didn't like before," said Gopal. "Now they have the ability to move up in the company, make a career out of this job instead of it just being a job."
And they are also a family that helps one another.
"We help individuals that work with us if they need something, they put in a request. 'Hey I need help with my light bill,' we review it make sure they meet the requirements, such as coming to work and not having a lot of points," said Deanna Paolino, the Human Resource Officer at USA800 Wichita Falls. "And we go from there, and a lot of the times we're able to help them."
The call center hopes to hire 100 more employees in the next month.
