News : Call Center to Employ 400 at Union Station
Wichita, KS, USA, July, 2017 -- A Virginia-based company announced plans to open a Wichita call center.
At his press conference, Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell announced Faneuil plans to hire 400 employees to work at a new call center being built at Union Station.

"It starts with the people that we have – the skilled workforce that we have in this city," Longwell said. "We have ridden ourselves of this inferiority complex in Wichita. People take a lot of pride."
Longwell indicated Wichita was an attractive destination for the company due to ongoing developments at corporations such as Koch, Cargill, and Spirit. The Greater Wichita Partnership, Downtown Wichita, and Workforce Alliance all partnered to woo the center to town.
The call center may also increase the profile of Union Station.
"I think it bodes well for our city as a whole when they see activity with the Cagill site, and our redevelopment of Phase I of Union Station," said Chad Stafford, president of Occidental Management. "Obviously with their edition we’ll be kicking off the second phase of the renovations at Union Station."
