News : Webhelp Call Centre Wins Contract from Shop Direct
Larbert Falkirk, UK, Aug 21, 2015 -- Webhelp, a call centre company that employs Scottish people, has recently secured a large contract from Shop Direct.
The organisation could get other business if it delivers the goods. If Webhelp needs to hire any more staff as the result of its future growth it could use printing services in Kilmarnock. David Turner, the chief executive at Webhelp, has said: "We’re excited to be working with one of the largest digital retailers in the UK, in what is a significant partnership for our business."
Webhelp has developed concrete plans to assist its partner. It has revealed that it will use social media, webchat, email, and voice contact to help Shop Direct. The call centre organisation has a hub in Kilmarnock, as well as one in Dunoon, while its British headquarters are situated in Larbert, which is next to Stenhousemuir.
In the short term, there may not be a big need for recruitment to fulfil the contract under discussion. This is because it has been decided that Serco employees will be transferred to Webhelp.
This move has been possible because the management of Serco wants to concentrate on public sector activity. As a result, Webhelp will get workers from South Africa, Wales and England. These staff will have certain employment rights preserved because of specific legislation.
