News : Call Centre to Address Woes of Labourers
Malappuram, India, Feb 1, 2016 -- The Labour Department has begun a call centre to handle the issues of labourers and general public in connection with labour. People can contact toll-free numbers 180042555214, 155214 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. seeking redressal to their labour-related woes.
The call centre will record the basic information from the complainant and issue a token number by way of SMS. An official concerned will get back to the complainant over phone and will initiate action if needed. The complainant can contact the official at their mobile phone for further clarifications or needs. An official statement issued by the Labour Department said here that people could make use of the call centre for labour related issues such as refusal to give minimum wages and non-issuing of appointment letter.
