News : Call Facility for Information on Tours
Jan 24, 2014 -- In an effort to provide information about tour packages, special hire buses and other important services being offered by it to passengers, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) launched a new ‘Call Connection/Diversion Facility’ at its Central Call Centre Abhibus Services (I) Private Limited at Nagarjuna Hills in Punjagutta here.
APSRTC executive director (Operation & MIS) GV Ramana Rao launched the new facility.
Speaking to reporters, Ramana Rao said the call centres do not have detailed information about all the services, especially about tour packages and special hire buses, and most of the time the passengers are asked to contact the RTC depot or the officials concerned for information. Now with the launch of the Call Connection Facility, the call from an information seeker will be directly diverted to the department concerned or the officials who would not only guide them but also provide information about the services being offered by the corporation, he said.
He said that an SMS will be sent to both the customer and the corporation official indicating the customer’s and official’s contact number for future contacts. He said passengers can even enquire about inter-state and inter-city services through this call centre.
