News : Capita Finds its Voice in Acquisition
London, UK, April 7, 2015 -- Outsourcing provider Capita has snapped up booming Sheffield call centre company Voice Marketing.
Capita, which signed a six-year deal to carry out services for Sheffield City Council in January, swooped for the Sheffield company, which employs 500.
Voice, which has offices in Woodseats and Broomhill, will now provide Capita ‘with sales and retention capability and complement the customer care capability within Capita Customer Management’.
It was formed in 2006 by chief executive James Hinchliffe.
Earlier this month he said they planned to hire 80 people in May - on top of the 230 staff hired so far this year - and were on track to a headcount of nearly 900.
He said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the future of our business. It will enable us to grow further and faster with the backing of a larger business. We will have access to a wider client base and be able to offer more career progression opportunities and benefits for staff."
