News : Caterpillar Moving Call Center to Bluefield
Bluefield, W.VA, Dec 16, 2014 -- The Mercer County Development Authority announced plans by Caterpillar to move its call center from Pearisburg, Va. to the downtown Bluefield. The move will bring 24 jobs to the area.
The call center takes international and domestic calls for Caterpillar’s products. Its new location will be at 622 Commerce Street in Bluefield, the former home of AAA.
The Development Authority said the Hugh I Shott, Jr. Foundation provided incentives for the move.
The call center’s new home is scheduled to open next month.
