News : Cellcom Israel Announces Hearing Regarding Call Center Services
Netanya, Israel, August 19, 2014 -- Cellcom Israel Ltd. (tase:CEL) announced that the Israeli Ministry of Communications, or MOC published a hearing regarding call centers services provided to subscribers of Israeli telecommunications operators.
In order to improve the quality of call centers services, the hearing proposes, among other things, to set new or more severe criteria to such service, with regards to response time and manner. In addition, the MOC proposes to amend the Israeli Communications Law and set fixed compensation in case of failure to meet the response time proposed, as well as a fixed compensation in case a subscriber was wrongfully overcharged (more severe than the existing provision to that effect in the Israeli Consumer Protection Law).
The Company is studying the proposed changes and at this time cannot evaluate the extent of its effects on the Company's results of operations, if adopted as proposed.
