News : CESC Launches New Helpline Number
Mysuru, India, February, 2016 -- The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) has introduced a helpline to expedite the process of addressing complaints from consumers.
Discontinuing its earlier toll-free number, the CESC has introduced a new number which is mapped and accessed by consumers from Mysuru, Mandya, Kodagu, Chamarajnagar and Hassan districts.
The 24 x 7 helpline will ensure that the complaint is resolved by the section concerned immediately.
"Once the compliant is lodged by calling the number, a docket number is generated and the same is sent to the mobile number of the complainant. The complaint is later forwarded to the engineer concerned for redressal. Once the problem is resolved, a message is sent to the complainant’s mobile number. This way, we have streamlined the system of addressing the complaints," CESC General Manager (Technical) Raghu Prakash told The Hindu.
An attendant at the customer care centre at Kuvempunagar, where the helpline is set up, said that the helpline has been swift in addressing the complaints.
Only complaints from CESC areas are registered, though the same helpline number is used for compliant registration in Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd. areas, he said.
