News : CGS Receives SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance Certification
New York, NY, USA, Nov, 2018 -- CGS, a global provider of business applications, enterprise learning and outsourcing services, announced that it has successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC(R)) 2 Type 2 certification for its applications, hosting, managed services, enterprise learning, call center and BPO systems globally. CGS received the seal of excellence from AICPA for successfully completing a SSAE 16 SOC 2 Type 2 audit.
"Achieving this level of certification exemplifies that CGS is a trusted provider to our global customers, delivering superior performance and service," said John Samuel, SVP, global CIO, CGS. "With a heightened awareness of protecting customer data, this report is a great validation of our continued commitment to our customers. The SOC 2 Type 2 report is performed by an independent auditing firm and is intended to provide an understanding of the service organization’s suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of its internal controls. A service organization may select any or all of the trust service principles applicable to their business. CGS chose to report on security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. The successful completion of this voluntary engagement illustrates CGS's ongoing commitment to create and maintain a secure environment for its clients' confidential data.
SOC 2 engagements are performed in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) AT-C 205, "Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization" and based on the trust service principles outlined in the AICPA Guide, "Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, or Privacy."
