News : Chemicals Company Huntsman Creating 70 Jobs
Stockton-on-Tees, UK, June 12, 2015 -- Teesside chemicals company Huntsman is creating 70 jobs at a new customer care centre at Wynyard.
The move comes after an announcement at the end of March that a significant restructure of its Pigments and Additives business could lead to the loss of around 40 jobs.
The Customer Care Centre, opened by Jon Huntsman, founder and chairman of Huntsman Corporation, joins the Innovation Centre, opened in November 2013, and Titanium House, opened in May 2011 at the Wynyard campus.
It will accommodate customer service teams supporting two Huntsman divisions, and a team that looks after credit control globally for Huntsman.

Simon Turner, President for Huntsman Pigments and Additives, commented: "We are in the process of building a global market leading business. The services we provide from our Wynyard campus will help our competitiveness. The expansion of the Wynyard campus means the creation of over 70 jobs for the area and the opportunity to improve our services to our global customer base."
In March, the company, which employs around 780 staff on Teesside, said it was cutting a number of external contractor jobs at its Greatham manufacturing site to "remain competitive in the global marketplace."
