News : Chidiac Takes the Helm at Avaya
Sydney, Australia, Aug 4, 2016 -- Avaya has appointed Peter Chidiac as managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
"Over the last 12 months Avaya identified key changes that needed to be made in ANZ to deliver true digital transformations to our customers. Having executed on these, we now hand over to Peter to carry that success into the next year and beyond," said Avaya International president Nidal Abou-Ltaif.
"Peter has been at the forefront of the digital shift and his experience places Avaya ANZ in an ideal position to maintain its leadership in contextual communications solutions."

Chidiac joins Avaya with more than 20 years' experience in senior and executive roles in the telecommunications and service provider markets.
He most recently served as ANZ managing director at mobile network operator Truphone.
Chidiac was previously chief executive of contact centre services provider Veridian Solutions, after spending 12 years at voice recognition specialist Nuance Communications in multiple senior positions, including ANZ managing director.
"Today, businesses need to combine rigid networking and effective team collaboration with completely integrated omni-channel experiences so that they can deliver services on customers' terms.
"My focus at Avaya will be to engage in these conversations so that, with our support, our customers can expand their businesses and secure brand loyalty with the right technology solutions," said Chidiac.
