News : Chinese Banks Adopt Avaya Video Teller Machine Services
March 18, 2014 -- Provider of collaboration and communications services, Avaya has announced that Hengshui Bank in Hebei Province and Jinzhong Bank in Shanxi Province have adopted an Avaya Video Teller Machine (VTM) offering to provide an enhanced customer experience and expand their presence.
Integrating Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) with videoconferencing and contact centre capabilities, the Avaya VTM service enables banks to provide automated access to most transactions that customers can complete in branch offices, such as a new credit card application. Customers can also access these VTM machines 24/7.
Hengshui Bank is installing a number of VTMs in locations outside the city to serve rural clients. These VTMs function as virtual branches where customers can conduct both cash and non-cash transactions that are customised to meet the needs of rural clients. Jinzhong Bank of Shanxi Province also allows its clients to apply for credit cards from the VTMs.
