Dallas, TX, USA, March, 2017 -- The Houston Chronicle is relocating its call center services from the Philippines to Dallas as part of a series of measures designed to improve customer service.
Relocating the newspaper's contracted call center services to the Central time zone will allow customers to more quickly resolve matters.
"We are always looking for new ways to engage and elevate our subscribers' experience with the newspaper," said John McKeon, the Houston Chronicle's publisher. "We listened to our subscribers on areas where we can improve. .... We want Houston subscribers to know that we care about them, and we're confident that they are going to be excited about the new changes."
The move will result in 130 new jobs for Texas.
