News : Cincinnati IT Company Adding Dozens of Jobs
Cincinnati , OH, USA, September, 2016 -- A growing information technology business is expanding in Bond Hill and will double its workforce by 2019 under an agreement headed for approval by the Cincinnati City Council this week.
Council’s Budget and Finance Committee OK’d a job-creation tax credit agreement with Path Forward, which currently has 151 employees working at Jet Forward’s building at 6900 Steger Drive, on Monday. A final vote is expected Wednesday.
The 35 percent tax credit means Path Forward will save nearly $250,000 and allow the 14-year-old company to expand within Jet Machine’s building. The city will gain nearly $1.4 million in income taxes over the course of the 10-year deal, which requires the company to stay and keep all 300 jobs for a decade. Jet Machine is moving and expanding in the TechSolve II commerce park.
Path Forward will spend to build expanded space for its call center and IT services provided to health care companies.
The city hopes the company will end up adding far more jobs with the company considering a $2 million second-phase expansion beyond what council is expected to approve.
"Additionally, because this is a high-growth company, there is a possibility that Path Forward will hire well over 150 employees and need even more office space than can be created in their current building," according to a memo signed by City Manager Harry Black.
