News : City Gets Helpline for Senior Citizens

Coimbatore, India, Aug, 2023 - City corporation commissioner M Prathap launched a helpline - 9626332220 - for the elderly to contact in case of medical emergencies to mark the World Senior Citizens Day, which falls on August 21.

An initiative of Inhouse Medicare, an elder care facility, the helpline is expected to benefit the senior citizens in need of medical assistance.

"People can call the helpline number for any medical assistance and guidance for the elderly. Phone (audio) consultation will be offered free of cost. We charge only for in-person consultation," Z Haseeb Khan, founder, Inhouse Medicare, said.

He said they were creating awareness about the initiative among the residents at the gated communities and apartments.
