News : City to Extend Call Centre Hours
Durban, South Africa Aug 22, 2016 -- The eThekwini Municipality is extending its revenue call centre operating times from Monday 22 August. Spokesman for the city, Tozi Mthethwa said the move was due to the confusion over the new billing system.
The computer systems which was ostensibly to make life simpler has caused major problems for ratepayers. The Revenue Management System (RMS) took more 10 years to become operational.

"Call centre operators will be available to answer any queries that you may have related to your consolidated bills. The call centre can be reached on 031 324 5000," she said.
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6.30pm and Saturday from 7.30 am to 3pm.
"Should customers prefer to email or fax their query, they can email email@example.com or 031 324 5111."
