News : Comcast to Make Job Announcement at Redesigned Knoxville Call Center
Knoxville, TN, USA, Oct 20, 2015 -- Comcast, along with Mayor Madeline Rogero are expected to make a jobs announcement in Knoxville Thursday.
The announcement is scheduled at 3:15 p.m. at Comcast’s office, located at 5720 Asheville Highway in Knoxville. "To support the company’s nationwide focus on improving the customer service experience, Comcast will make a significant jobs announcement at their redesigned call center in Knoxville," said Sara Jo Houghland, Director of Public Relations with Comcast.
Houghland said Comcast officials, Mayor Rogero and the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will discuss Comcast’s growing investment in Knox County.
In 2012, Comcast laid-off 52 people at the call center. At the time, Comcast said the company was closings its inbound sales queue and shifting those calls to Nashville.
