News : Common Call Centre in Gurgaon for Discoms
Gurgaon, May 6, 2014 -- To streamline registration and redress of power complaints in Haryana, the two state discoms, DHBVN and UHBVN, are set to open a unified call centre in Gurgaon by May end, which will be connected to a data bank in Hisar.
According to Sanjeev Chopra, GM, DHBVN (Gurgaon circle), "the call centre will be operating out of Sector 14. We are in the process of recruiting a 100-member team that will be handling its operations in tandem with the data bank in Hisar," Chopra said.
Consumers at present find registering complaints regarding supply and billing with the existing DHBVN call centre a time-consuming process. "It has been brought to our notice that consumers had to wait for at least 15-20 minutes to get their complaints registered with the call centre," Chopra said. The new call centre will have a 100-strong team of trained staff members with experience in handling consumer complaints, DHBVN executive engineer Dalip Singh said.
