News : Company Takes On 307 New Workers
Jan 27, 2014 -- As Nottingham continues to offer more jobs, one company had seven applications for each position in 2013.
The city ranked sixth in the list of cities creating private sector jobs last year with 8,900 new positions.
Domestic and General has a contact centre based in Talbot Street in the city centre. After an influx of new contracts, the company increased its workforce, and has taken on 307 new starters over recent months.
Zara Jabbar, 21, is a new starter. She said: "I joined Domestic and General recently after being told they were looking to recruit new staff. I was given a warm welcome, training and support throughout the recruitment and training process.
"I am learning something new every day and being motivated to improve on skills and experiences already gained. I really enjoy working here.''
Tracy Gill, HR manager added: "We've had a bumper phase of recruitment at Domestic and General over the last year which is reflective of our business growth.''
