Tampa, FL, USA, Dec 4, 2019 -- Concentrix, a company that provides call center and other support services to clients on six continents, is laying off as many as 245 of its employees in Tampa, though the company said it is not leaving the city.
Rather, the company said it will close one of its client programs doing business out of the Interstate Corporate Center on E Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Interstate 4.
"Although this program is closing, the company will maintain a presence through a significant number of positions on another program," Concentrix senior director and legal counsel Bernadine Topazio said in a letter notifying the state of Florida of the layoffs. "Concentrix officials are working aggressively to attract other client programs for the Tampa, Fla. location."
The closure is scheduled to take place Jan. 17.
