News : Consumers Energy Receives High Ranking for Improved Customer Service
Lansing, MI, Sept 19, 2014 -- Consumers Energy is being lauded for improving its customer service. The company has received the second highest ranking in customer satisfaction in JD Power's annual study of gas residential customers in the Large Midwest segment, with JD Powers noting that it's made the greatest progress among all gas utilities in the United States. Consumers Energy's Garrick Rochow says that he thinks the high ranking is partly because customers over the past winter were pleased with the fact that there were little or no disruptions in gas service.
"We never missed a beat, delivered to every one of our customers," Rochow told WKZO. "So, that's one way we're doing it. Another thing is investing in our gas system, making sure it continues to operate, delivering to our customers, and staying safe."
Rochow notes that Consumers Energy has made great strides in how much natural gas it stores in Michigan so that it never faces a shortage.
