News : Convergys Announces New Client, More Jobs in Sergeant Bluff
Sergeant Bluff, IA, USA, Sept 23, 2015 -- Cincinnati-based Convergys, a customer service management company, announced that the company will bring more jobs to its site in Sergeant Bluff.
Company officials said the increase in jobs is related to a new health care client. As of Wednesday afternoon, Convergys had not identified the number of added jobs or released the name of the client.
In the past, Convergys has not identified new clients, citing confidentiality agreements.
"We are excited about the new opportunities with this health care client, and we look forward to adding many more people to our team of talented, committed people," Sergeant Bluff Convergys Site Director Berry Belcher said in a statement.

Earlier this year, Convergys announced plans to hire up to 400 workers, nearly doubling its workforce in Sergeant Bluff. By the end of 2015, the company expects to employ 700 to 750 people.
In 2014, Convergys eliminated 150 jobs at its Sergeant Bluff call center. The move was part of Convergys’ acquisition of Stream Global Services.
Stream opened its Sergeant Bluff center in 2006. Local business leaders recruited the company to replace a 600-employee call center. The former MCI closed after it was bought by Verizon.
