News : Convergys Columbus Celebrates New Site
Columbus, GA, USA, Oct 28, 2016 -- Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in customer management, is celebrating the official opening of its Columbus contact center with a ribbon cutting ceremony and community tailgate.
The celebration, which will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, will feature remarks by local officials and will feature local fare from Granny’s Seafood, drinks, games, and music provided by PMB Radio. All community members are invited to attend the event at the Convergys location, 1838 Victory Drive Columbus, GA 31901.
"We are excited to officially welcome the local community to our new Columbus facility and meet with our more than 200 new Columbus based employees as we celebrate our success in building our presence in the community," said Joe Gissendanner, Convergys Columbus site director. "We are proud to be a new employer in the region and expect to grow our team, building our partnership with the community, and celebrating many anniversaries to come."

"Six months ago we celebrated Convergys’ decision to locate in Columbus," said Brian Anderson, president and CEO of the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
