News : Cox Hiring 150 Ahead of Gigabit Speed Rollout
Sept 15, 2014 -- Cox Communications is looking to hire 150 at its expanded Phoenix call centers.
The positions include part-time collections positions and full-time sales and customer care positions, as well as bilingual positions.
They will fill the growing local call center offices that have been serving markets outside of Arizona over the past six months. The bilingual positions are available for the Phoenix area’s national Spanish call center.
The larger metro call centers, called Centers of Excellence by Cox, are also ramping up support for gigabit speeds that will be offered to residents and home-based businesses in October, said Susan Anable, Cox’s vice president of public affairs.
"We’ve had a lot of interest in the market about our gig speeds, and we’re preparing for that," Anable said.
The available positions include: part-time collections specialists, and full-time inside sales specialists, technical support representatives, account services representatives and bilingual customer retention representatives.

"We want people with customer service experience, technology knowledge and we’re looking for people who speak Spanish," Anable said.
