News : Crime Branch Gets Call Centre Probe
Ahmedabad, Nov 28, 2014 -- Probe relating to a call center involved in duping Canadian citizens on the pretext of sanctioning loans was handed over to the city crime branch on Thursday.
Navrangpura police which busted the racket run by a call center named Contactis located at Law Garden had arrested 36 employees of the call center including the manager Nikunj Dave. "Owner of the call center Dilip Chaudhary is still on the run. The call center dialers would call Canadian citizens and talking in a foreign accent would persuade the loan seekers to pay 10 percent of the amount" said crime branch officials.

Chaudhary used to hire professional hackers to get data of on line seekers from Canada. "Chaudhary used to pay them hefty amount for supplying the data" said crime branch officials.
