News : Cyber Security Customer Call Center Has Grand Opening in Wise
Wise, VA, USA, Sept 26, 2016 -- Phasing in of a new customer call center has begun in Wise County.
When it's in full force there will be 500 jobs at Frontier Secure, bringing high hopes of job security from this sector serving cyber security.
Cyber security is a growing field and Wise County may be one of the last places that comes to mind for this sector.
The new customer call jobs at Frontier Secure appear to be the first step in that direction.

Frontier Secure's new facility in Wise deals with customer service involving security issues and technical support for companies.
Wise County Economic Development Director Carl Snodgrass says Wise and the surrounding area hopes for major growth in this sector.
"I think the technology sector here is simply going to continue to grow. Probably exponentially based on what we have started," said Snodgrass.
And there is an outpouring of community assistance to improve infrastructure as well as the talent pool of employees.
"People that come out of our programs at UVa-Wise have very good writing skills and very good communication skills, problem solving skills. Skills that are going to be important to any small business owner that may be calling in to seek support," said Associate Vice Chancellor of Economic Development, Shannon Blevins.
Entry level employees for frontier are earning around $12 an hour.
Snodgrass even says if an adequate talent pool can be developed, even more than 500 jobs could be possible.
