News : Dell Signals Commitment to Scotland with New 10-year Office Lease
Glasgow, Scotland, Feb 23, 2015 -- US computer provider Dell has cemented its long-term future in Scotland with a new 10-year lease extension on its offices at CityPark.
The Texas-based company has extended its lease on 54,500 sq ft of office space, which currently houses more than 550 business-to-business contact centre staff.
CityPark has also secured another significant lease agreement with global contact centre provider Webhelp UK set to move all of its Glasgow operations to the development having agreed a five-year lease on 35,000 sq ft of space.
Webhelp UK plans to have all 800 staff relocated from Atlantic Quay to the new office space at CityPark by March of this year, with the company having also negotiated extra car parking at the site.
CityPark real estate asset manager, APAM Ltd, said the lettings follow "significant investment" in the property, which included refurbishment of the entrance hall and reception area last year.
APAM executive director, William Powell, said: "I am delighted Dell remains committed to Scotland and importantly to CityPark.
"It is a significant agreement and alongside Webhelp UK’s decision to re-locate, the deals are a major coup for us.
"It proves CityPark is going from strength to strength as a key business location in Scotland."
Asset Manager APAM was represented by Lambert Smith Hampton and CBRE, while JLL acted for Webhelp UK.
