News : DIRECTV Call Center Hiring 90 Workers
La County, MT, USA, Feb 25, 2015 -- Good news on the economic front. DIRECTV's Call Center in Missoula is hiring 90 workers. The center handles incoming calls from customers all over the country. The jobs are full and part time positions.
DIRECTV's Call Center is already getting phone calls from job seekers. The company is taking applications. The entry level jobs require people who enjoy working with customers.
"Customers can call in with billing questions or general inquire questions," said center site director, Shawn Horton. "They're calling in to understand a little bit more about their service, or if they've had service for a long time. They might have some questions on their bill and we're there to help assist them."
NBC Montana spent time Wednesday, at the DIRECTV Call Center, located off Airway Boulevard. The positions came open when 90 workers at the call center were promoted to handle more specialized customer calls. The pay rate for the jobs vary.
"Starting out about $23,000," said Horton, "to $34,000 a year based on your experience but also based on the shift you work."
The call center requires a seven week training course before workers move to their permanent shifts.
