Indiantown, FL, USA, April 20, 2020 -- South-Florida based Disaster Management Group – which in recent weeks has rolled out DMGtest for COVID-19 antibody testing and DMGapp for coronavirus appointment scheduling – is now launching a contact tracing program to help local and state governments track and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"Contact tracing is the next step to stop the spread of coronavirus and understand who in our communities is infected. If we can ensure that individuals are traced, quarantined and treated, we can move forward with our state’s and our nation’s recovery," said Tom Rubio, DMG CEO. The new contact tracing offering will provide staffing to reach directly out to individuals who tested positive and then contact those the individual has been in contact with. This is especially important for areas where individuals do not have access to smart phones or high-speed internet to report their contact data to local health facilities.

Across the country and around the globe, reports confirm that testing a high volume of individuals is the best way to prevent further spread of COVID-19 among communities. Data on who has been exposed and who may have developed immunity to the virus can help determine when restrictive measures currently in place are no longer necessary.

DMGtest, a screening tool that reveals whether or not the body has been exposed to COVID-19 in just 15 minutes, was recently rolled out in Miami-Dade County. The 15-minute COVID-19 antibody test is a serological test that detects antibodies in the blood to determine if the body has been exposed to COVID-19, whether or not the candidate ever experienced symptoms.

The DMGtest received an FDA waiver after meeting accuracy guidelines and expects full FDA approval soon. These rapid antibody tests are more cost effective and the results are quicker than current COVID-19 diagnostic testing techniques, which detect the DNA of the virus in the body.
