News : Duluth Company to Hire More Than 100 Northlanders
Duluth, MN, Jan 23, 2014 -- HCL America, a company that performs work for Advanstar Communications, entered Duluth in 2010 and since then has seen major growth.
The company held a job fair to fill over 100 customer service jobs for the inbound contact center.
In the past the company had to cut staff and send work to India, but the company's recent client changes have spurred local economic growth.
"This is just going to be their Midwest call center. The client that they're currently working with has a Midwest base and they wanted to be close, and so this is a great opportunity. They had the space secured and just ready to rock and roll, and they know that we've got a great workforce in Duluth," said Rhonda Rutford of the Minnesota Workforce Center in Duluth.
The company says they hope to fill the positions by April.
