News : Dutch Government Extends Telephony Contracts
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Jan 18, 2016 -- The Dutch government has extended four of its telephony contracts. These were first agreed under the OT2010 procurement programme and have already been extended twice before.
BTC Teleconsult won in 2010 the contract OT2010 | EUD, for supplying hardware such as mobile phones. This contract was extended for a second time for 12 months, until 14 April 2017. The inbound contract was also extended a year until 14 April 2017 and indexed for inflation. Under this contract, KPN provides a call centre. After this third extension, the contract can be extended once more, for a maximum six months.
In addition, the interior ministry extended its contract for a SMS gateway with CM Telecom until 12 May 2017, and a contract was VoIP exchanges was also extended by two years, to 30 March 2018, with Detron Telecom Enterprise. The state procurement agency Hisict is preparing a new tender OT201X.
