News : Eckoh Granted Patent for CallGuard Payments Tech
June 10, 2014 -- Eckoh, a global provider of secure payment products and customer service solutions, announces that effective from the 11th June 2014, it has been granted a patent (No. 2478916) for the transaction security method and system that underpins its CallGuard product.
The patent was filed in 2010 by Veritape, a secure payment solutions company acquired by Eckoh in June 2013. Both Eckoh and Veritape have specialised in developing card payment solutions to assist companies in making 'card-not-present' transactions more secure, particularly those made over the phone through a contact centre.
Nik Philpot, Chief Executive Officer of Eckoh, commented: "Eckoh is delighted to be awarded this patent for CallGuard. The patent will not only strengthen our position in the market, but it will allow us to protect our investment in this technology. We are extremely proud of CallGuard, which together with our other payment products provides organisations and contact centres with a complete range of extremely compelling and competitive solutions to their PCI DSS compliance and payment security challenges."
