News : EE Trains Customer Service Staff in Online Safety
London, UK, Feb 6, 2018 -- BT Group company EE has announced a UK-wide roll-out of mobile and online safety training for thousands of customer service employees across 600 retail outlets. The programme is being launched to mark Safer Internet Day.
The EE customer service representatives will be trained to offer advice on safety options and filters, as well as to direct parents to resources to help deal with subjects such as cyber bullying. The training has been developed in partnership with online safety experts Internet Matters.
EE and Internet Matters have also worked together to develop 'The New Talk', a series of conversation starters to help parents to talk to their children about online safety. These new initiatives are in response to new research from Internet Matters showing that 7 in 10 teens want their parents to set filters to protect them online.
