News : Election Commission Helpline launched to Report Code Violations
Chandigarh, India, March, 2019 -- The director general income tax (Investigation) has set up a dedicated control room centre to address complains of voters being bribed by money or material during the forthcoming parliamentary elections. The centre has been set up following the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI).

A spokesperson of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Punjab said that people will be able to register any complaint on toll free number 18001804814 regarding anyone carrying huge sums of money in cash or any violating the model code of conduct. This helpline would be working round the clock and would remain operational during the period of Model code of Conduct.
Meanwhile, it has been reiterated that people should not carry huge money or valuable during travel without proper document especially above Rs50,000.
