News : Extra Security After Threatening Call to IRD
Wellington, NZ, April 7, 2015 -- A threat received at Inland Revenue's call centre last week has led to increased security being put in place.
The centre received a phone call from a person threatening staff at the IRD offices in Wellington.
Police say they have worked with IRD to ensure the safety of their staff and premises and extra security has been brought in.
Wellington police are investigating the source of the threats and say they are following positive lines of inquiry.
