FBI officials confirm they did serve a search warrant yesterday at the businesses location in Lompoc on North V Street. They say they are working with the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office on an investigation.
"Generally the complaints regard a dissatisfaction with the service because people want to get into this program to lease or purchase at a later date and then realize it might not be as easy," says Rick Copelan, the President of the Better Business Bureau in the Tri-Counties.
He says within the last three years the BBB has received more than 300 complaints about the company, none of which the owners Mike Davenport and Susan Quinn have responded to.
"They do business primarily as American Standard or Your American Standard or Anchor House Financial they are all similar," he says.
Copelan is warning people to do their research before they can trust a company, "we always warn consumers before you do business with any company if you can't go down and shake their hand do a little homework.
