News : Federal Ombudsman Strengthens Helpline 1055
Islamabad, Pakistan Jan 9, 2019 -- The Federal Ombudsman has strengthened its helpline 1055 by augmenting its daily working timings by five hours to facilitate the general public, especially the complainants.
According to official sources, the timings of helpline have been enhanced from 5 pm to 10 pm daily to enable the people to get information without any problem.

Earlier, the help desk was working from 9am to 5 pm daily. He urged people, who can't visit Ombudsman office, to get information through help desk.
The sources said another helpline 1056 had also been working for registering complaints relating to child abuse.
The complaints could be registered by email as well.
He said any person could lodge a complaint with federal ombudsman on a plain paper. The major categories of complaints included non-provision of gas/electricity connections, non correction of utility bills, delay/non payment of pension, non issuance and blockage of CNIC/Passports, etc, delay/non payment of outstanding dues, compensation, State Life Insurance claims, etc.
