News : Fiji: Offshoring Destination of the Year Award
Fiji has won the 2014 European Outsourcing Association (EOA) Awards Offshoring Destination of the Year award following in the footsteps of previous winners South Africa and Morocco. The annual awards ceremony, hosted in London, acknowledges destinations and operators that have excelled in servicing the UK and European outsourcing markets. The countries shortlisted for this award category included Belarus, Bulgaria, South Africa, Portugal, Serbia and Sri Lanka.
Fiji has all the key benchmarks and advantages that put it on par with BPO locations. Fiji has managed to secure its position in attracting renowned ICT and BPO investors. The country’s abundant English-speaking, customer centric workforce led the International Monetary Fund's Chikahisa Sumi to recently endorse and encourage Fiji’s pursuit of customer service outsourcing to grow its economy.
