News : Fire Ravages Call Centre, Guts Vehicles at Police Station in Noida
Noida, India, May 5, 2015 -- A call centre office and seized vehicles parked inside a police station compound were gutted in separate fires in two different parts of the city, a day after a blaze reduced 15 shanties to ashes in Sector 51. The first fire was reported from the call centre in E block of Sector 63 at 10am. Two fire tenders reached the spot after passersby spotted the blaze and called the fire brigade.
It took nearly one and a half hours to douse the flames. There was no one inside the call centre, of a company called V-5. Fire department officials said computers, airconditioners, furniture and other equipment in the office was reduced to ashes.

"The V-5 call centre is on the first floor of the building, which also houses a leather purse manufacturing unit on the ground floor. Had the fire spread to the ground floor, it could have led to a bigger disaster. But the flames were contained in time," an official said.
The other blaze at Sector 20 police station broke out around 2.45am after a suspected short circuit in the transformer. Eleven seized vehicles were burnt down.
