News : First Direct Best for Customer Service
Oct 9, 2014 -- Online bank First Direct has beaten the likes of John Lewis and M&S to be named the UK's best brand for customer service.
It's taken top spot in this year's Nunwood Customer Experience Survey, which asks 7,500 people about their recent customer service experiences at over 250 top UK brands.
First Direct knocked John Lewis off top spot in this year’s survey, which is the fifth Nunwood has conducted. The bank came third in 2013.
It's the latest customer service accolade in a long list for First Direct, which is part of HSBC.
Another financial brand, Nationwide, also appeared in the top 10 at number eight.
Meanwhile, online electrical retailer AO.com was the highest new entrant at number six.
The major high street banks are nowhere to be seen, although Halifax did come in 63rd place.
