News : Firstsource Picks Commerce Crossings for 300 Jobs
May 7, 2014 -- Firstsource Group USA has selected Louisville’s Commerce Crossings business park for an expansion project that will bring 300 full-time jobs to Louisville, Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear’s office announced.
Firstsource, based in India, will open a local service center to provide outsourced management services to telecommunications and media companies, according to a news release.
"Firstsource is a global leader in the industry of customer experience, and we’re happy to see this type of growth and investment in the commonwealth," Beshear said in the release.
The company will fill a 44,000-square-foot facility on Commerce Crossing Drive.
Firstsource received preliminary approval for a state tax incentive over 10 years. According to its application for the incentives, the company said its jobs would pay an average hourly wage of $16.80, including benefits.
The new call center will join two existing centers in Louisville that employ more than 200 workers.
"The opening of the new center strengthens our foothold in the state," Rajesh Subramaniam, managing director and CEO of Firstsource, said in the news release. "With operations in Louisville for more than seven years, we have a strong presence in the market and feel confident that we will attract top-notch talent to service our telecom and media clients."
Hiring will begin in a few months.
