News : Freedom Financial Network Launches Consumer Helpline in California for COVID-19 Financial Questions

San Mateo, CA, USA, June, 2020 -- Freedom Financial Network (FFN) is launching its free consumer helpline to help Californians in need of information and resources on how to manage the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Freedom Financial Network will staff the helpline, 844-731-0886, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. PDT, Monday through Friday. Specialists will help consumers understand what options may be available to help them manage the financial impacts of the pandemic. Helpline staff can address topics including:

- Information on forbearance, deferment or other help from creditors (mortgage lenders, credit card issuers, personal loan lenders, student loan lenders)
- Potential unemployment assistance
- Information on small-business government assistance programs
- Resource guides and information about government assistance programs created to help those impacted by the COVID-19 crisis

The company launched the helpline in Arizona last month. "Initial results have confirmed that many people need help in understanding and accessing available assistance programs," says Andrew Housser, co-founder and co-CEO of FFN. "Our helpline offers just that."

"COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc on the financial health of millions of consumers in California," he says. He points to unemployment estimates of up to 25% for the state, and recent data that confirms the United States is officially in a recession.
