News : Fundraising Firm to Hire 50 Staff
Jan 27, 2014 -- A charity fundraising business is planning to take on 50 staff for a call centre in Manchester.
Dunfermline-based R Fundraising has taken 3,000 sq ft at Boulton House in Chorlton Street. The business works for major charities such as Save the Children and the Samaritans.
It was helped by Manchester's inward investment agency MIDAS after running a trial with 16 staff early last year.
Steve Boyd, R Fundraising’s managing director, said: "We’re delighted to be launching our presence in England with a new customer contact centre in Manchester. Our strategy is to ensure the very best return for the charities and an excellent service for the donors.
"Manchester offers everything we need, and has the added attraction of a thriving, well-established, business service industry. Following a short term trial, we saw the benefits almost instantly with highly qualified staff, and a contract rate increase of 20%.
"Our new office will be fully functional by April 2014, so we’re already looking for performance managers and HR training staff."
