News : Gemalto Wins Regional Frost & Sullivan Best Practice Award for Smart Payment Card Infrastructure
Meudon Cedex, France, Aug 27, 2018 -- Gemalto has been recognized for the impact of its white-label payment application infrastructure PURE on the smart cards market of the Middle East and Africa by Frost & Sullivan, which gave the company its 2018 Middle East & Africa Customer Value Leadership Award.
The infrastructure offering provides interoperability between technologies to enable card manufacturers, mobile wallet providers, POS vendors, software and authorization system suppliers, and test labs to participate in a complete payment ecosystem, according to the announcement.

"PURE’s card range is evolving and now include biometric authentication with a built-in fingerprint sensor and dynamic security code technology, making it a truly secure payment technology," said Fadzai Deda, Best Practices Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. "With the network of connected systems expanding, Gemalto’s flexibility allows users to adapt and position themselves competitively to address new market requirements such as contactless cards, wearables or consumer devices."
"PURE offers its customers various transaction options apart from the card, such as mobile contactless and QR Code solutions, to ensure that its customers’ businesses are future-proof and compliant with EMV standards," noted Deda. Frost & Sullivan Best Practices awards are presented annually, and the award won by Gemalto recognizes its focus on augmenting the value its customers receive beyond good customer service, to improve customer retention and customer base expansion.
